This is an antique draughtsman's rolling ruler. An English, nitrided bronze cartographer's instrument by Stanley of London, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
Wonderful cased ruler with appealing blue finish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Nitrided bronze with dark blue finish provides great contrast to the brass rollers
Etched maker's mark reads 'Trade Mark, Stanley London - Made in England'
Brass rollers aid the ruler in gliding smoothly across maps or documents
