A wonderful Victorian visiting card case made from a hefty gauge of English stelring silver with the much coveted Queen Victoria's head duty mark making up part of the full hallmark.

The case is made to look like a book with engraving around three sides to emulate the pages. The engraved decoration to both the front and back is of the finest quality.

The case opens to reveal the original fitted interior, lined in a rich coloured silk (minor staining).

The hallmark is for Birmingham 1874 together with the makers initials, I believe for the silversmith, Collins and Cook.

Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 2 3/4" x 1/4" thick.
