This is an antique free standing fireplace. An English, cast iron fire basket in the Adam style, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Delightfully presented free standing fire grate
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Cast iron resplendent in a consistent graphite finish
Representing the Adam style with classical motif and forms
Dome top fire back adorned with a relief neoclassical fire pit motif
Bow-front fire basket with a trio of rolled stretchers to the fore
Removable grate aids ease of cleaning
Sweeping buttresses engraved with fleur-de-lys emblems
Pierced fretwork front apron sweeps sinuously from leg to leg
Quartet of ball-topped finials stand prominently
Raised upon four tapering column legs with contrasted brass ball toes
