Antique Georgian silver caddy scoop spoon, 1820
Antique Georgian silver caddy scoop/spoon. The inside of the scoop bowl has been gilded. The handle features a regular series of ridges running from approximately half way up the handle to the tip of the finial. There has been no personalisation.
This spoon is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1820, and the maker Joseph Willmore.
Although worn, all marks are still readable.
The spoon scoop measures 3.5 cm (1.4") by 3.5 cm (1.4") by 2 cm (.9"). The overall length is 11.5 cm (4.5"). It weighs 13g.
All measurements are approximate.
The spoon is in good condition. There are a few tarnish spots and surface scratches commensurate with age.
