A tiny antique guilloche LOCKET compact antique silver gifts for her. An exquisitely beautiful antique sterling silver locket compact or pendant in excellent condition. The enamelled lid shows two winged figures which may represent Cupid as bows & arrows feature strongly in the composition. The two appear to be making a votive offering. The enamel is excellent & there isn't any enamel loss. The subject matter & small size of this vanity make it ideal as a romantic gift or christening present. The tiny mirror is mounted in a silver gilt bezel & it gives a good reflection - slight subtle age related haze. Behind the hinge there is a ring & so with the addition of a hanging ring this could be worn as a very usual pendant. The piece is fully hallmarked & was made by R.Blackington & Co of North Attleboro, MA.
Measures 3.4 cm diameter & weighs 14.4 grams.
