Arts And Crafts Triptych Fire Screen
This is a lovely, Arts & Crafts English vellum and papier mache decorated oak fire screen circa. It has articulated sides with pierced top galleries. The inset panels are made of vellum and leather incised in low relief and painted in colours and gilt with flying peacocks on all three sides. There are stylised daisy flowers with whiplash stems between borders of peacock feathers, raised on square supports. There is a single area of damage on the front panel on the wing of the peacock on the right. This has been secured and nothing is loose. The damage is reflected in the price.
