Bronze by Austrian Sculptor Rudolph Kuchler 1910

‘The Flower Seller’ by Austrian Sculptor Rudolph Kuchler 1910
A beautiful Art Nouveau patinated bronze figure of a maiden in a diaphanous gown offering a flower and holding a basket of flowers, by the Viennese sculptor Rudolph Kuchler (1867-1946).
His style was predominately figurative and Art Nouveau.
This charming figure of a flower seller is very finely detailed with excellent hand finished chasing especially to the folds of her gown. The bronze is signed R Kuchler and has a foundry seal. A decorative and charming figure. Rudolph Kuchler (1867-1946) was born in Vienna and died in Berlin. Küchler studied at the Vienna Art Academy from 1883 to 1890 and then worked in Berlin and Hamburg. He was commissioned to design commemorative medals for the First World War by Julius Menadier.
