Edwardian Aesthetic Silver Top Hobnail Vanity Jar


This is an unusual Aesthetic Movement Silver Topped Vanity Jar which features Lilies, Storks, and Bulrushes. The glass hobnail base is also unusual having a quatrefoil shape.
Made by Silversmith William Aitken and Hallmarked in the Birmingham Assay Office in 1905 which also has a Registration of Design Number Rd 416410.
The Jar and top weighs 251g and measures 75mm in diameter x 65mm in height.
The vanity Jar and Lid is in good condition with no damage, the hallmarks are rubbed (see images). We offer free insured postage & packing within the U.K.
