A pretty English silver trinket or snuff box with hinged cover with decorative gadrooned border. The cover is decorated with a guilloche enamel ground in a brilliant turquoise and over-painted with a naturalistic sprig of pale pink roses. Gilded inside. Hallmarked to the base for Birmingham 1901, makers Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd the cover with partial marks to the front.

It measures 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide by 4.5cm (1 3/4") deep and 2.5cm (1") high and weighs 60g / 1.9ozt.

In very good condition: a small knock to the back left corner and one other small scuff. No other issues, damage or repair. The enamel is perfect and the hinge is firm. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
