Very nice early Edwardian silver sweetmeat dish in the form of a scallop shell with embossed and engraved feather scroll decoration in each of the lobes and sections of pierced quatrefoils in diaper pattern panels around the side of alternating lobes. Ornate shaped edge and a central plain reserve with fluted rays radiating out. Hallmarked for James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1900.

It measures 21.5cm (8 1/2") by 20.5cm (8") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") deep. It weighs 269g/8.7ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage, dents or repairs and light surface wear. Hallmarks are good and clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
