An unusual small novelty Edwardian silver 4 slice toast rack with seated dogs forming the ends. Simplistic form with pierced and engraved detail to define the legs, ears, eyes and tail, I think they are likely to be Labradors, spaniels or similar retrievers. Thick silver bars formed to match the outline of the dogs with a diamond handle and set on little bun feet. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1908, makers Levi & Salaman and also marked on the other side with design number RdNo535527.

It measures 3 ¾” high, 3” long and 2 1/8” wide. It weighs 64g/2.1ozt. Condition is very good with no damage or repairs and very light surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
