Edwardian Pince Nez Case Birm. 1903
For sale we have a very attractive Edwardian silver pince nez case.
The pince nez case is of a flattened torpedo form with the front being heavily decorated with an intricate foliate design and an engraved monogram CB. The front of the case carries full English hallmarks for Birmingham 1903 and makers marks for H, Woodward & Co Ltd. The case is also supplied with a silver hanging chain and belt clip. This also carries Birmingham 1903 hallmarks along with the makes marks for H, Woodward & Co Ltd.
The pince nez case is approximately 6 inches (15cm) long and along with the chain and belt clip weighs approximately 58g. The case is in a good antique condition, however the makers marks on the case are a bit rubbed but legible and the case carries an indentation towards it lower end from being held. The belt clip is in a good antique condition, but the hallmarks and makers marks are rubbed and barely legible.
