George V Silver Topped Rouge Pot, H. Perkins, 1919

This is a charming little George V Cut Glass Rouge Pot with a Sterling Silver Lid. The round glass pot has slice cut sides and the silver lid is plain with a gilt underside. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The rouge pot was made in London by Henry Perkins & Sons and dates to 1919. Based in Tottenham Court Road from 1901, the firm specialised in silver mounted glassware such as perfume bottles, dressing table jars and vases and also silver mounted pipes, cheroot and cigarette holders and other smoking paraphernalia. They remained in business into the early 1930s.
Condition is good, with no chips or cracks in the glass and just a very faint crease in the silver lid plus the superficial surface wear that you would expect after over 100 years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The pot is 3cm / 1.2ins in diameter and stands 2.5cm / 0.98ins high. The lid by itself weighs 2.2g / 0.08oz of solid Sterling Silver and all together the rouge pot weighs in at 18.7g / 0.66oz.
The hallmarks, on the side of the lid, are nice and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the leopard's head assay mark for London, the date letter d for 1919 and the H P & S makers' mark for Henry Perkins & Sons.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
