Georgian Silver Sugar Tongs Peter & Ann Bateman


A sweet pair of George III silver sugar tongs by Peter & Ann Bateman. The ends formed as acorns with textured engraving and fine bright cut engraved decoration up the arms with flower and leaf pattern on each side. A simple monogram at the bridge. Hallmarked for 1793.
They measure 14cm (5 1/2") long.
Condition is very good with no damage or repair. Only very minor handling wear to the engraved borders over the bridge. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
