This sterling silver powder compact is suitable for loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
This is a very beautiful UNUSED sterling silver guilloche powder compact made in 1946 by Henry Clifford Davis. This is much more charming than the images convey. Just adorable! The lid & base have an exquisite guilloche pattern of tiny diamond shapes. The lid has an oblong cartouche inscribed 'Joan' in beautiful script. The whole piece is in the finest condition possible never having being used. The original puff and sifter are in place which means as well as being a handbag mirror this compact is also suitable for use with modern loose face powder. A beautiful one of a kind gift she will treasure. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. All clasps and hinges work perfectly.
This vintage solid silver compact measures 7 cm & weighs 69.6 grams.
