Pair Edwardian Silver Serving Spoons, Sheff. 1906

This is a good quality pair of Edwardian Sterling Silver Serving Spoons in the traditional Old English pattern. The spoons are made in Sheffield by Martin, Hall & Co and date to 1906. Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall began their partnership in 1854 but the firm could trace it's roots back to 1820. They were one of the best known manufacturing silversmiths in the Victorian & Edwardian eras and remained in business until 1936.
These two serving spoons in the Old English pattern are well made pieces in a good gauge of silver. They have no initials or personalisation of any kind. They are perfectly usable today or would be a good addition to a collection.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents and only the minimal surface wear that has to be expected after over 110 years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The spoons are 22.5cm / 8.75" long and the pair together weigh in at a substantial 156.2g / 5.5oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the underside of the stem are crisp and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the crown assay mark for Sheffield, the date letter "o" for 1906 and the RM over EH makers' mark for Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall of Martin, Hall & Co.
Shipping in the UK is £11 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the value of the spoons.
Overseas customers please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
