Here we have for sale this Stylish Vintage Black Duofold Junior raised band pen with a 14K nib. This is a lovely vintage pen made by the world renowned Parker brand. The nib states the following: Parker 585 England 10. The pen is fitted with its own aeromatic filling system.
The Details are as follows:

Name of manufacturer: Parker

Age: Vintage Circa 1960 (model is similar in design to Victory MkV)

Model: Duofold Junior

Nib: 14K Gold No 10

Condition Report

In overall good vintage condition, there is some age related wear to the pen, for instance some of the gold on the tip of the nib has rubbed off due to use, there are some abrasion marks to the cap, where the gold colour has rubbed slightly.
The pen is sold as untested but appears to in good operating condition, I did test the filing system with a little bit of water, it filled up as it should and I was able to write with it afterwards using residue ink.

History:

In 1888, the Parker Pen company was patented by George Safford Parker, who was an American teacher that found that he was constantly fixing his pupils pens and thought he could design a better pen. Parker said: It will always be possible to make a better pen' . The iconic Duofold was first produced in 1921, and proved to be a bestseller, with its anti leakage technology and were also larger in scale than other pens at the time. The Duofold was still being produced up to the 1960s and was brought back into production in the 1980s to celebrate the company's centenary.
