Silver Pedestal Bonbon Dish Birmingham 1943
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to present for sale this exemplary good gauge 1940s vintage silver pierced bon bon pedestal dish hallmarked in Birmingham in 1943.
The details are as follows:
Silversmith: Unknown (makers mark is partially stamped).
Assay Office: Birmingham
Date mark: 1943
Monarch: George VI
Pattern: Pierced
Dimensions
Weight: 75 grams
Diameter of bowl: 12cm
Height: 5cm
Condition Report:
In overall very good condition with light age related wear with tarnish marks and surface scratches. There are particular tarnish marks around the join between the pedestal stand and the bowl, which I have shown in the pictures, as well as other deeper tarnish marks littered around the dish, which could be removed with a deep clean. There are no signs of any damage to the dish, which is often evident with silverware of this age, a fine example English twentieth century wartime silverware.
We currently have in stock a fine selection of silver flatware in our online shop.
