Here we have for sale a beautiful Edwardian period hallmarked butter dish in the form of a scallop shell, which rests on three ball feet.

Please note the dish is being sold as found, please read the condition report listed below and view the above photographs.

Silversmith: Marks rubbed

Assay office: London

Date mark: 1902

Dimensions

Width: 10.5 cm

Height: 3 cm

Length: 13 cm

Weight: 72 grams

Condition report

In generally good condition, however this dish is being sold as found due to two very small hairline splits, both are very minor and should be fairly easy to repair and do not affect appearance of structural integrity of the dish. there is a slight bend at the rear of the dish and the hallmarks are rubbed, otherwise only the usual age related tarnish marks and surface scratches.

Overall a lovely Edwardian silver dish.
