A superb quality 19th century Silver Snuff (or Pill) Box, surmounted with a Pair of Pistols. The detail of the Pistol Castings are second to none.It has a hinged lid and is marked on the base with a Swan in round cartouche and 'Silver'.Dimensions are:-4cms x 2.5cms.The Swan mark was introduced in June 1864 until June 1893 on Silver items imported into France from Countries without Customs conventions.Stipulating that Gold and Silver comply with same conditions as France.A rare find! I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
