Engraved S M sterling silver powder compact. This is a gorgeous & very interesting fully hallmarked Czechoslovakian 900 silver powder compact. The lid has wonderful guilloche engraving & elaborate scroll work. The oblong cartouche inscribed 'S M'. The bevelled mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. An excellent solid silver vanity that would make for an elegant gift. The inner case is also decorated with beautiful scroll work surrounding the mirror & powder well. The original sifter is present. The base has an engine turned design of vertical lines - some scratches on the base but nothing that would spoil the enjoyment of the compact. Measures just over 7 cm & weighs 84.5 grams.
