Sterling Silver & Guilloche Enamel Lidded Jar
A handsome and highly decorative vanity jar or box made from glass with a very clean and elegant design, and a star-cut base.
The lid fits well, made from English sterling silver originally silver-gilt (gold over silver), this is still evident but the gold is worn). There is a full English hallmark for Birmingham 1913, over 100 years old, together with the makers initials for the top-notch silversmith, Walker and Hall.
The top is decorated with a superb green guilloche enamel, with a shiny patina showcasing the engine turned design below.
Excellent condition, measuring 2 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 2" tall.
