Stunning Pierced Silver Art Deco Pedestal Bowl

A very striking fine quality silver table display bowl on a stepped pedestal base. The mounted bowl flares widely as it rises into a stylised castellated shape with heavy gauge rim. The walls are themselves a very good gauge and ornately pierced with an art deco styled design of foliate type with trailing scrolls and stylised column mounted covered urns. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1928, makers James Dixon & Sons.
It measures 20.5cm (8") wide and 9cm (3 1/2") high, and weighs 369g/11.9ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage, dents or repairs and minor handling wear.
