Thomas Jekyll Antique Fire Surround.
This original,19th century antique fire surround is made by Barnard Bishop and Barnard and is a design by Thomas Jekyll, it dates from around 1860.
In solid cast iron with very finely cast Japanese inspired aesthetic designs incorporating insects, flowers along with a geometric pattern.
In fully working condition with the original drop down fire hood which can be set at four different positions.
This Thomas Jekyll antique fire surround has not been sand blasted, the paint has benn removed by hand.
In excellent original condition.
