This is an attractive late Victorian Sterling Silver Pickle Fork with a Mother of Pearl handle. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.

The pickle fork is made in Birmingham by renowned silversmiths Adie & Lovekin Ltd and dates to 1899. Founded in the late 1870s, Adie & Lovekin were a very successful firm of silversmiths who remained in business up until around 1930.

Condition is very good with no dings or dents in the silver and no damage to the mother of pearl handle. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The pickle fork is 12.8cm / 5ins long and weighs 8.9g / 0.31oz of combined Sterling Silver and Mother of Pearl.

The hallmarks on the silver stem are a little rubbed but still clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter z for 1899 and the A.L.Ld makers' mark for Adie & Lovekin Ltd.
