Mary Gregory Glass
Mary Gregory (1856–1908)[1] was an American artist known for her decoration of glass products. She worked at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She worked there between 1880-1884. Well known for paintings of children at play outside. These she would paint onto glass jugs, plates, vases etc in plain, green and cranberry glass using a white enamel paint with ground glass as a paint mixture. Similar artwork was made by literally dozens of glass houses, and some continue to this day.
