A very nice Art Deco sterling silver swizzle stick dating to the late 1930s. The item was a promotional giveaway in the 1930s by the HMV flagship store – 363 Oxford Street, London. As can be seen in the photos, the swizzle stick is in very good condition. Engraved on the side is “H.M.V. HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES 363 OXFORD STREET W.1.” and then a little further along “STERLING” . The swizzle stick measures 8 cm when closed and 12.1 cm when fully opened. A lovely, unusual item.
