3 Piece Silver Condiment Set, Birmingham, 1915

A very attractive George V Sterling Silver 3 Piece Condiment Set from the early years of the First World War. The set was made in Birmingham in 1915. The makers' mark on all three pieces is quite rubbed and we've not been able to identify it with any certainty but it may be for James Deakin & Sons.
All three pieces stand on 3 feet attached to a bulbous base which then tapers upwards. The salt and mustard pot both have their original blue glass liners, which are in good condition with no chips or cracks. The lid of the pepper pot fits securely. There are a couple of small dings on the body of the salt and likewise on the mustard pot but overall condition is good. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The salt has a diameter of 4.2cm at its widest and is 3.5cm high. The mustard pot has a diameter of 4.2cm at its widest and is 6cm high to the top of the finial. The pepper pot is 3cm in diameter at its widest and stands 7cm high. The weight of the three pieces without their glass liners is a respectable 58.8g of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the base of each piece are somewhat rubbed. The main three of lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham and the date letter "q" for 1915 are easy to decipher but we have not been able to decipher the makers' mark with any certainty.
