Antique Victorian English Silver Trophy Cup

A very good quality, Antique Victorian Period, Large, English Sterling Silver Trophy Cup made in Sheffield.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "JNM/GW" for Mappin & Webb (John Newton Mappin & George Webb) , the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Sheffield "crown" town mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria) and date letter "M" for 1879/80.
This Solid Silver Trophy is in excellent condition and is complete with the original wooden stand.
A rare opportunity to purchase a Solid Sterling Silver Trophy that is free of engravings or inscriptions. An ideal prize for any Football, Cricket, Gold, Horse Racing, Equestrian, Bowling, Motor Sport, Angling etc Club event.
