A nice Edwardian silver sealing wax holder of plain polished finish with pivot spring mechanism for firmly holding the wax in place and releasing it from storage inside. It has a a plain seal on the end in order to engrave a crest for combined use as wax store and seal. Hallmarked for Chester 1909, makers Sampson Mordan & Co.

It measures 12.8cm (5") long and 2.2cm (7/8") by 1.6cm (5/8") wide across the seal. It weighs 47g / 1.5ozt.

Condition is excellent with no damage or repair and minor and appropriate handling wear. the spring mechanism is strong and holds the wax firmly. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
