Edwardian Sterling Silver Oval Entree Dish


Very nice oval silver entree dish with beaded border decoration and ornate cast vine and grape detail to the handle on the lid. The handle is removable with a bayonet fitting to allow the lid to be used as another dish. Hallmarked for London 1907, makers Hawksworth Eyre & Co. and the piece is free from engraving.
It measures 28.5cm (11 1/3") long, 22cm (8 5/8") wide and 14cm (5 1/2") high. It weighs 1165g/ 37.4ozt. Condition is very good with just the odd light mark appropriate for age. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
