Edwardian Trusty Servant Pair Silver Menu Holders


Unusual pair of Edwardian silver place card holders of The Trusty Servant after the painting hanging in Winchester College by John Hoskins depicting a mythical creature known as a hircocervus demonstrating the virtues expected of the college pupils. Very nicely cast with fine detail on a circular base. Hallmarked for Chester 1907 and maker Frederick James Ross who was based in Winchester.
They measure 1 5/16" wide across the base and 1 1/8" high. They weigh 46g/1.5ozt in total. Condition is very good with no damage and just light surface wear appropriate for age and use Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
