We have for sale a very attractive early 20th century Hong Kong export silver overlaid scent bottle dating to somewhere between 1900 and 1920.

This lovely three sided scent bottle is thickly clad in silver such that each side has an oval window allowing the contents of the bottle to be viewed. The is richly decorated with a pierced design depicting peony flowers and foliage. The glass bottle itself is hand blown with a polished pontil mark to the base. The scent bottle extends up to a silver and cork stopper terminating in a central conical spout. The silver to the base carries Hong Kong marks and a 90% silver mark.

The scent bottle is 4.5 inches (11.5cm) high, and 2 inches (5.5cm) wide. It is in a very good to excellent antique condition, the cork component of the stopper forms a good seal and the silver only shows the age related wear one would expect from a well looked after piece of this age.
