On offer this delightful antique novelty silver snuff or pill box pendant in the shape of a pot.

It's an unusual & rare piece decorated with matte guilloche enamel in royal blue and white colours. The border is set with a multitude of seed pearls, as is the shamrock in the centre of the lid.

The interior is gilded and the pot is fully hallmarked for ‘London’ and year ‘1903’. Maker’s mark ‘G.H. There is also a letter ‘F’ stamped on it, which was used on imported wares until 1904.

Some pearls are missing and there is slight surface damage to the enamel. But I’d say that for a piece of this age that’s acceptable.

The pot measures about 3.5 cm in diameter on the lower part and 3.3 on the top.
