A fantastic American silver cigarette case by Napier Sterling.

The Art Moderne/Art Deco case is in super-quality heavy gauge silver and alternates plain and engine turned horizontal stripes to front and back with a vacant rectangular cartouche. The interior is gilded and has a sprung clip which makes it ideal for use as a card case (it fits current standard cards). The inside of the case is marked "Napier Sterling 618/44". The 44 perhaps suggesting a year of manufacture of 1944. The case design is of the type prominent in the 1940s-1960s, but might be as early as the 1930s.

Dimensions: 120x80x12mm, Weight 150g.
I trade in small silver, jewellery and objets d'art. I sell primarily at antiques fairs and in cabinets in Christique Antique Centre in Dorking. I try to find unusual and interesting stock and like to keep turning it over, so I can buy more. Postage and packing are free within the UK - unless explicitly stated otherwise. I keep hardly any stock at home, if you want to buy something and need it urgently, I will usually do it the next day, but it may take me some time to respond if you need extra photographs and/or details about the piece that I do not have to hand, as I typically visit the antiques centre just once a week.
