A George II sterling silver cream jug, hallmarked for Richard Kersill, London, 1745.
The jug measures approximately 9 cm (3.5 inches) high to the top of the spout, 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) to the top of the handle, is sits wellon 3 cast legs with a wonderful embossed design, including, a ship, buildings and an eagle, along with a decorative scroll design. It has an blank cartouche with no personal initials or engraving.
The hallmarks are on the base of the jog.
The jug is in excellent condition.
