A Beautiful Victorian design English silver photograph frame.
The frame measures 27.5 cm high and 20 cm wide. The photo area measures 19.2 cm high x 12 cm wide.
The silver is of the finest quality.
The hallmarks are:
Leopards Head Mark - London Assay Office
Rare Britannia Mark - Only for the finest silver items of 99.9%.
Maker's Mark: P.V.F.
Date letter Mark for 1996.
The surround is in the William Morris acanthus design. The frame is solid silver, not pierced.
The frame has a black back and a pointed strut. The frame can be displayed upright or horizontally.
Genuine purple moiré watered silk lining. The glass is anti-glare.
The finest purity, unalloyed 999 silver has a depth of colour
not found on lower-grade 925 silver items.
Overall, a lovely frame in good condition.
