Harrison Brothers and Howson. Sheffield Silvermakers & Cutlery Manufacturers.
Sheffield Silversmiths, founded in 1849 by James William Harrison, his brother Henry Harrison and William Howson. William Howson had an interest in the company 'Thomas Sansom and Sons', he and his two new partners took over 'Sansom and Sons'. The factory was at 45 Norfolk Street, Sheffield. In 1875 William Howson resigned from the partnership. Under the Harrisons, the business continued to expand.
A silver mark had been registered in 1849 and the firm also acquired a Royal warrant from Queen Victoria (and later one from King Edward VII). In 1960 the company was bought by Viners.
