A fantastic and very rare Scottish Provincial Silver Card Clip or Menu Holder.This lovely item is heavy gauge Silver.The pierced design has strong Celtic influence.It is clearly Hallmarked for Inverness,and by Makers Fraser,Ferguson & McBean.Dates from c. 1890.The Steel spring is still very strong. It can be used lying flat or it can be stood upright as seen in Photo and used a Menu Card Holder.. Dimensions are 7.5cmsH x 5.5cms W. It weighs 65 Grammes. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
