Winterhalder & Hofmeier - High quality German Clockmakers

Established by Thomas Winterhalder in 1810 in the Black Forest region of Germany.

It became Winterhalder & Hofmeier in around 1850 when a relative Johannes Hofmeier joined the company. W&H; Sch - Trademark

Hofmeier is sometimes spelled with two f's Hoffmeier.

The Winterhalder & Hofmeier company was known for its mechanical precision clocks. The clocks can be identified by the engraved W & H SCH initial letters.

The company ceased production and closed 1933.
