Imari
Imari was a port in Japan used for the shipment of Arita ware (porcelain) to Europe. It was exported to Europe extensively between the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century. The name comes from the port of export. It is thought that a Chinese refugee brought the overglaze enamel coloring technique to Japan.
