Legras

Legras Glass - French Glass Maker.

Founded by Auguste Legras in 1864 after taking over the St. Denis glassworks. Inspired by Emile Galle, Legras decided to seriously concentrate on producing Art Nouveau style glass. After his retirement the company was taken over by his son Charles who started by producing scent bottles like those designed at that time by Rene Lalique. After closing the Factory during the 1st world war it reopened and moved on to Art Deco style production.
