Monart
Monart Glass was made in Scotland between 1924-1961 by Salvador Ysart (a Spanish glass worker) and his sons. Made in an industrial glassworks in Perth owned by John Moncrief. It was a collaboration between Salvador Ysart and the wife of John Moncrief, Isobel Moncrieff and it was a great success.
There were two phases to the production from around 1922 to 1961 at the Moncrieffs works under the Monart at Moncrieff's name then from 1946 at the Shore Works as Ysart Brothers Glass.
Salvador Ysart had left Moncrieffs in 1946 along with two of his sons to set up his own glassworks calling it Yasart Glass. Paul Yart stayed with Moncrieffs until 1961 when they closed their art glass workshop and went to work for Caithness Glass.
